It's A Beautiful Day!

First day of the Key West Dulcimer Fest was a tremendous success! Workshops flowed as smoothly as the music - shuttles ran guests back and forth between the American Legion and Hurricane Hole - rave reviews for the instructors, the lunch and the dinner. The concert was standing room only and ran like clockwork and the post-concert jams were fiery and fun!

We're currently in our second day of workshops with the weather continuing to cooperate - looking forward to another wonderful turn out for the concert. There's still time to get in on the action this afternoon with special half-day registrations.

More to come! Check out some more photos on our Facebook page!

Today's the day!

After about a year of planning, the 1st Annual Key West Dulcimer Fest starts today! You can see our banner flying by US-1 at the Hurricane Hole Marina and the first Master's Classes are this morning. Registration will be at the Hurricane Hole from 9-10 a.m. and at the American Legion from 12-1 p.m.

See you there!

Wine, Please!

We've added another co-sponsor; The Key West Winery!

Our wines are non-traditional because we do not use any grapes to produce them. Instead, the winemaker has produced a line of wines that use fruits, berries and citrus. The remarkable result has been an assortment of wines that are full-bodied, very flavorful, with surprising bouquets.

Our wines are the real thing! Our citrus, berry and fruit wines are made from the finest, freshest, hand-selected fruit, squeezed and fermented at our parent winery in St. Petersburg, Florida. We have wines for all occasions, with a large selection to choose from.

The Key West Winery is located at 103 Simonton Street near the waterfront. Look for their rack cards at our information booth, American Legion!

Key Lime Heaven!

The reigning king of Key Lime Pie is Kermit Carpenter, who has been featured on the Food Network, the Today Show and many other programs and publications. Kermit's delectable creations, including not only pie, but cookies, jelly, hot sauce and pretzels, are known world-wide and we're happy to announce that Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe is a co-sponsor of the Key West Dulcimer Fest!

Robert Force and I went over to Kermit's shop and caught up with the man himself, getting the latest scoop on his recent television exposure and exciting new developments.

When in Key West, be sure to visit Kermit at his shop at 200A Elizabeth St.

Sunday Sunset Cruise: SECOND BOAT!

Well, our Sunday Sunset Cruise has proven to be so popular that we've needed to add a second vessel!

We'll be contacting the list of folks signed up to be sure that they know they're on the skipjack Danger. Those over the 28-person limit will be able to book passage aboard a Sebago catamaran for a sunset cruise as well.

Tickets for the Sebago cruise are $32 if we have more than ten people book the sail. Tickets will be available at the festival information booth located at the American Legion.

Jack's Bait and Tackle

We also carry (when available) fresh ballyhoo, thread hearing and sardines. Our frozen baits are top quality. If you need specialty baits such as: Ladyfish, goggle eyes or flying fish etc, just give us a call and we will gladly have what ever you need available

The apparel side of the building has a wide variety of : Crocs, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses, Calcutta and Guy Harvey Clothing. Everything you need for the look of the keys.

When you exit the Florida Turnpike onto US-1 in Florida City, you are at the start of an exciting journey; the drive across the Overseas Highway and down through the keys before landing in Key West. You'll driv…
